Feathered Serpent II

The Feathered Serpent II was an American schooner built in the late 1930s. The AEF & OSC acquired it not to replicate an ancient vessel's voyage but to research ancient sea routes. Gene Savoy captained the sixty-foot ship to study ocean currents and trade winds across the Pacific and around the Caribbean. The FSII also served as the base of operations in Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico and Hawaii when the Foundation explored these lands.
